The Involved Programme offers support to newly arrived refugee and asylum-seeking children and young people. The project, which is based in the Midlands, works with young migrants and offers a range of education, training and community opportunities to help them feel comfortable and settled in their new communities and home. This includes practical elements such as providing English lessons and educational support, but also works with children to process previous trauma and improve their wellbeing. Staff include those who have had similar experiences of migration, offering a unique understanding from first arrival and through their journey. Positive Youth Foundation also runs a 10-week summer programme called Boost. The programme allows children to develop their confidence, learn new things, make new friends and integrate into their community.
